Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using FridgeFix. By using the App you agree to these terms.
Payment Notice: Web subscriptions use Stripe. Native subscriptions use Apple App Store or Google Play, and the applicable store's purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules apply.
By downloading, installing, or using FridgeFix ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
FridgeFix is a personal AI-powered food and recipe assistant. You may use the App only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse engineer, copy, distribute, or misuse any part of the App.
Recipes, ingredient detections, nutritional estimates, and cooking suggestions are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for general informational and entertainment purposes only. AI-generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your specific situation. FridgeFix does not guarantee that any generated recipe is correct, complete, safe, or appropriate for you.
The AI ingredient scanning feature attempts to identify food items from photos submitted by the user. Detection results may be incorrect, incomplete, or miss items entirely. Photo quality, lighting, angle, and packaging can significantly affect results. You are responsible for verifying all detected ingredients before use.
FridgeFix does not provide food safety advice. The App does not assess whether food is safe to eat, properly stored, free of contamination, or past a safe consumption date. Always use your own judgment and follow local food safety guidelines. When in doubt, discard food. FridgeFix is not responsible for any illness, injury, or harm caused by consuming food based on App suggestions.
FridgeFix is not a medical device or medical service and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Allergy and dietary filters are best-effort automated safeguards and can miss ingredients, derivatives, cross-contact warnings, brand-specific formulations, or inaccurate AI output. They must not be relied upon as a guarantee. If you have food allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, or dietary requirements that affect your health, verify product labels and every recipe ingredient yourself. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Nutritional information provided by FridgeFix is estimated by AI and is not verified by a registered dietitian or nutritionist. Actual nutritional content varies based on ingredients, portion sizes, preparation methods, and other factors. Do not use FridgeFix nutritional data to manage medical conditions.
You are solely responsible for: (a) verifying all ingredient detections; (b) confirming food freshness and safety before consuming; (c) checking for allergens yourself regardless of App filters; (d) adjusting recipes to meet your personal dietary and health needs; (e) following proper food handling, storage, and cooking practices.
FridgeFix Guest mode may be used without creating an account for browsing and device-local features. AI kitchen scanning, recipe generation, Quick Fix, and How to Cook require a registered account. Registered Free accounts include 5 kitchen scans, 20 recipe generations, 3 Quick Fix guides, and 3 How to Cook guides per calendar month. After the applicable Free allowance is used, Premium access is required for additional use of that metered feature. Guest kitchen items, saved recipes, and preferences are stored on the device and may be lost if app or browser data is cleared or the App is uninstalled before an account is created. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. FridgeFix reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your FridgeFix account through Settings → Delete Account & Data or request assistance at support@fridgefix.ca. If you own a shared household with another active member, household ownership must be resolved before deletion so another person’s shared data is not destroyed.
FridgeFix offers a Free plan that can be used in Guest mode without an account, an individual Premium subscription, and a Family subscription where available. Creating or signing into an account is required before starting a paid subscription so paid access and eligible guest data can be associated with that account. Web subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe and renew automatically unless cancelled. Native subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play using the products, prices, billing periods, and renewal terms shown by the store before purchase. Family access is shared only with accepted household members and is subject to the member limit shown before purchase.
Free trials are not currently offered. If a trial is offered later, its duration, eligibility, conversion terms, and cancellation deadline will be disclosed before enrollment and will follow the rules of the payment platform used.
You may cancel a web subscription through the Stripe billing portal. Apple App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be managed through the applicable store. Cancellation normally takes effect under the terms shown by the payment provider. Refund eligibility is determined by the payment provider, app store, and applicable law. Account deletion attempts to cancel an active Stripe web subscription before removing the app account, but it does not cancel a store subscription or automatically create a refund.
Web payments are processed by Stripe. Native purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play and verified through RevenueCat. FridgeFix does not store full payment-card details or app-store payment credentials. Store purchases are governed by the applicable store's billing, cancellation, and refund policies.
You agree not to: (a) upload illegal, harmful, or misleading content; (b) attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls; (c) use the App to harm others; (d) scrape, copy, or harvest App content or data; (e) use automated tools to access the App in an unauthorized manner.
FridgeFix and its original content, design, branding, and software are the property of FridgeFix and its licensors. AI-generated recipes are provided for your personal use only. You may not republish, sell, or commercially distribute content generated by the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FridgeFix, its owners, operators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: food waste, illness, allergic reactions, financial loss, or data loss arising from your use of the App. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
FridgeFix reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where possible. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
If FridgeFix is distributed through an app store, additional store terms may apply. FridgeFix remains responsible for the App, its maintenance, support, content, and legal compliance except where the store terms or applicable law state otherwise. The app-store operator is not responsible for providing FridgeFix support.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and then through the courts of competent jurisdiction in British Columbia, Canada.
